July 2010
  • The 2010 Canadian HAE management consensus article and the 2010 international consensus algorithm for diagnosis, therapy and mangementof HAE articles have been published. See this link for more details.
June 2010
  • CSL Behring Canada announced today that it has received Notice of Compliance for Berinert (Human C1 Esterase Inhibitor). Berinert may now be marked in Canada for the treatment of acute abdominal or facial attacks of hereditary angioedema (HAE) of moderate and severe intensity. From www.cslbehring.com.

  • There was a general meeting of the Canadian Hereditary Angioedema Network (CHAEN) / Rèseau Canadien d'Angioédème Héréditaire (RCAH) May 14-16, 2010 in Toronto. This meeting featured presentations from Canadian and international health professionals concerning the diagnosis, therapy, and management of HAE. The major goal of this meeting was to update the Canadian Consensus approach to HAE. See the agenda and resulting Canadian and International consensus articles.
